Child Aid Malaria program was started in April 2017. The project trained 21 Community Health Workers and reaches out to 150,000 people. The malaria program is a regional initiative taken by Global Fund and supported by eight southern African countries (E8). The idea is to find malaria cases in a cross border program and carry out preventive and treatment activities, using specific methods depending on whether the area is in a phase of control or has entered the phase where malaria can be seen to be eliminated.
