ADPP Guinea Bissau started the first Farmers Club in 2008. To this day Farmers Clubs have been implemented in Oio and Empada regions and 4.775 farmers in Oio and Empada have been trained. In 2016 to 2019, the farmers in Farmers’ Clubs have been engaged in Cashew production and processing. In 2020 the project aims at empowering small-scale farmers economically in Oio by raising the value-added of their products through processing and marketing activities.
